She plays a mysterious spiritual guide in her new movie. Which is perhaps why Gemma Arterton should decide to have an angel wing tattoo, which she unveiled at last night’s Clash Of The Titans premiere in London.

With her hair scrapped back into a tight bun, it is the first time the 24-year-old actress has showed off the marking behind her left ear.

On a night when most of her co-stars joined her in wearing black, Gemma still managed to steal the limelight as she slipped into a fishnet-style dress.

Bond Girl Gemma showed her British grit as she braved the brisk chill and drizzly weather in the flesh-baring ensemble, which came complete with fishnet panels.

The Kent-born star teamed her Gucci dress with Tiffany jewellery and a pair of Greek sandal-inspired towering heels.

Gemma Arterton may be the busiest actress in Britain, but she’s also having fun, as she tells Siobhan Synnot.

She’s been a wisecracking bond girl and an innocent hardy heroine. Next year she’s a spirited princess in the Disney blockbuster Prince Of Persia and a protective goddess in the mythical spectacular Clash Of The Titans. But her most demanding role right now is just being Gemma Arterton.

“I’ve done 14 jobs in the last two years,” reflects the 24-year-old actress during a brief lunch break on the set of Stephen Frears’ new comedy, Tamara Drewe. “I recently thought about giving up coffee “but then I thought no, it’s one of the things that keeps me going!”

Working with Frears has been “wonderful,” she says.”He’s such an actor’s director. He didn’t even audition me for the part.We just met and he said ‘Yes, you’re right for Tamara’.He puts a lot of trust in people he works with. You can see it on set – most of the crew are people who have worked with him for years.”

Sam Worthington mentions briefly about Gemma’s role in Clash of the Titans in an interview Teen Hollywood.

TeenHollywood: Although Perseus is the lead character, he has a pretty cool group of guys and a gal going on his quest with him. Did you to make it more of an ensemble movie?

Sam: We didn’t want the boys to get lost, to be honest. This movie is fun, fast, furious. There’s a title for you (we laugh). Look at Star Wars (and compare). You’ve got your Luke Skywalker. You’ve got your Han Solo. Gemma [Arterton] is your Princess Leah. You’ve got your other two boys which are CP30 and R2D2 and the bloke made of wood is Chewbacca. They’re archetypes of an epic journey that you need to go along.

Movie Hole got the chance to visit the set of Clash of The Titans back when they were filming and their wonderful set report has now been made public.

I’d firstly like to start by saying my thanks to Warner Bros, Maureen, Kate, Jason and of course my friends Louis Letterier and Jason Flemyng, Gemma Arterton, Sam Worthington and Mads Mikkellsen for their time and treating me, as usual, brilliantly throughout my official visit to the “Clash of the Titans” set in the UK.

Assembled within a wind-flapping tent, just outside the main set. It’s an old, discussed army base and sat on the wobbly chairs upon the uneven ground, with our urn of hot water and cups of tea, it certainly retained the army feel. It was also a surprisingly hot day.

It’s around 3:15pm and Sam Worthington is on his way to the tent.

A Warner Bros PR rep escort Sam Worthington, looking as grubby as hell, wearing a tree green kilt, boots and a sack-cloth type top. His hair is short. His hands and face filthy with dirty and slight cuts visible. He sits at the rickety table side on to me, facing a group of journalists from around the world.
